Picture this: It’s 1975, your afro is looking fantastic, like Black Dynamite fantastic. You walk into this little bar and Al Greene, Marvin Gaye, and the Isley brothers are all jumping and jiving because there is this new sound that is so irresistible. It’s that really funky unky, the type of shit that makes you wanna wiggle and jiggle like gelatin.
 
Fast-forward 40 years: This is the lasting image I get when I first heard the song You Made us Change by Ephemerels. Ephemerels, a five-man band out of London are attempting to bring the funk back to life and we at HeadPhoneHeavY are so ecstatic about it. It’s been a long time since music like this has been prominent in pop culture but these jazzy cats have a bright future that the boys will be closely watching. Hot Damn!
