Donnie Trumpet & the Social Experiment - Sunday Candy "Short Film"

]

Chance The Rapper is the next messiah, I don't care what ya say. Chance has been on fire lately, coming out with "Sunday Candy" and "Heaven Only Knows". This short film/music video makes the track even better than it already is. This guy is really changing the game, but only because he is taking a Chance. Happy Sunday Candy you Jivin Turkeys.

Kid CuDi- Love.

Yes Yes YES. That is what I am talking about CuDi. It has been a god damn minute since I have heard some decent Kid CuDi. I so hope he releases Man On The Moon III soon. CuDi better keep the good work up, I miss the music that makes me feel like I am not alone.

Logic ft. Big K.R.I.T. - Top Ten (Prod. By 6ix)

Logic's flow is so fackin chill, especially on this chill beat. I also dig the mixtape cover they got going here. Big K.R.I.T making an appearance on this sound. I remember when KRIT first came out. I thought this dude was a joke, however he has fairly proved me wrong through out his recent career. Big K.R.I.T is coming out to Tampa, FL tonight, sounds like a dope concert. Wish Logic would take a trip over here also. Stay Up

SEVEN1- C.R.E.A.M

I recently heard SEVEN1's music for the first time, its a little hard, but oh boy do i like it. In C.R.E.A.M, SEVEN1 revamps Wu-Tang Clan's original version with this modern sounding mix. The sub in the track definitely fits well with his aggressive rapping style. Another artist on the come up, releasing more music soon.

Meek Mill- Ice Cream Freestyle

This shit’s cold Meek, real fucking cold. It’s kind of like, wait… I see what you did there (insert Bill Cosby Puddin’ face here). Meek Mill’s Ice Cream Freestyle is vintage Mill at its finest. After serving a short six-month sentence in jail, Meek Mill has recently been released and is ready to wreak havoc in 2015.  Sort of a “welcome home” party for Meek, the Ice Cream Freestyle features his signature aggressive lyricism, which eventually brought him to stardom.

Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2 (PFJII) (prod. Nez & Rio)

Lets talk ASAP. And, I mean that in the most clear double entendre possible because a) I love y’all readers, and b) A$AP Mob recently released a brand new track that we just cant get enough of here at HeadPhoneHeavY. Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye, which we can only assume to be the sequal to the banger Pretty Flacko is straight fire.

January Hip-Hop/Rap 2015 PLAYLIST

A lot of good rap music has come out these past couple months. Your boys at HeadPhoneHeavY have put together a little playlist, of our favorite Hip/Hop songs for the months of December/January. Hope you enjoy this SHIET, it took me a whole five minutes to make.

Big Gigantic- Winter Chill Mix

So it’s January 7^th, you’re finally no longer hung over from your New Year’s festivities, and it’s about time to go about your daily life. But how can you when you’ve been raging so hard for so long?!?! (Insert boner jokes here). Big G has just provided the solution. The Winter Chill mix is just the remedy to keep you from relapsing and accidentally snorting a line off of Mildred’s tits in the cubicle one over. (Who could blame you, she was totally asking for it.)

deM atlaS - With A Smile

Rhymesayer’s never fail to disappoint when bringing that hypnotic rap music to yah face. Personally, I am a huge Atmosphere fan and just love the unique style of rap that comes with the Rhymesayer’s name. Yesterday this track was released on the Rhymesayer’s SoundCloud page (SoundCloud), and almost escaped a review from our team, not so fast! Personally I have not heard much deM atlaS but this dude can straight flow on a track.

REMI- Aviation (Disco Weed)

Cool heh?

Skizzy Mars - Like this

Skizzy Mars has made a name for himself with his obscure beats and flow. Much of the same is heard on Skizzy’s latest single “Like This”. Of late we have seen rappers of the same pedigree of Skizzy begin to blow up – Logic and G-Easy to be specific. It’s only a matter of time before Mars is able to enter stardom. “Like This” is a slower track but it’s extremely catchy with Skizzy even flexing his golden pipes, singing on the chorus.

Logic - Under Pressure

I' ll be honest with you, it took me a few days to really dissect this one but without further ado I present to you “Under Pressure” the debut Album and first major label release from Logic. As a fan of Logic, I have followed his career and have become very fond of the mixtape series “Young Sinatra”. Logic is one of those rappers who can kill any beat with his superb lyricism.

Crystal Caines - Whiteline ft. A$AP Ferg

A$AP Ferg continues to bring the A$AP mob flow to every song it has been hitting lately. WIth some upcoming appearances in Scillex's fall tour, you can definitely bet the country will know Ferg isn't living in the shadows of fellow member A$AP Rocky. The song "Whiteline" with Crystal Caines, features a heavy bass with a soft chorus, which is quite catchy.

Kendrick Lamar- i

Watch out Kanye, Kendrick is coming for the ego crown with his new song “I”. The self-proclaimed king of the rap game has just conjured up some fire to fuel his hype Inferno. K-dot goes in a new direction on this song sampling the Isley Brother’s “Who’s That Lady” (YouTube) with some sick electric guitar riffs while spitting some tight bars in the meantime. The feel of the song is an upbeat club anthem asserting the TDE rapper at his throne.

Joey Bada$$- Get Paid

Joey Bada$$ is one of my absolute favorite new faces in the Rap scene. For those of you like me who have been following Bada$$ since his first mixtape 1999, the second you hit play on this track you’ll recognize that ill, hypnotic flow! Like most of his tracks Bada$$ puts down his freaky rhymes on an old school beat which reminds me of a Wu-tang classic.

Skizzy Mars- Sweetest Hangover Ft. Marc E Bassy

Skizzy Mars is back at it again with a chill song for the end of summer. Similar to the Skizzy of the past “Sweetest Hangover” is a mellow tune loaded with lyrical bliss and an early 90's feel. Skizzy lays down some smooth rhymes on the track as he reminisces on the reckless lifestyle of a young rapper finally making it on the scene.

FLOSSTRADAMUS- PLURNT EP

AHHH so dope.

Big Sean- I Don't Fuck With You Feat E40(Prod. DJ Mustard / Kanye West /DJ Dahi Co Prod. keY Wane)

Big Sean just came out with a four song EP. "I Don't Fuck With You", is my personal favorite.

Childish Gambino- Sober

Childish has been killin' it lately. This one is a little slow but still so FRESH. Really hope he drops a mixtape or album in the near future.

SAM SMITH- I'm Not The Only One (Remix Ft. A$AP Rocky)

This song could not get any chiller. DOPE
